Canada-Ontario Job Grant (COJG)

The Core Benefit

The COJG provides direct financial support to individual employers or employer consortia who wish to purchase training for their employees. It is available to small, medium and large businesses with a plan to deliver short-term training to existing and new employees.

Funding Tier: Employers with under 100 employees receive 5/6 of training costs up to $10,000. If hiring and training an unemployed individual, it can cover 100% of costs up to $15,000.

What Training Qualifies?

• Must be provided by an eligible third-party trainer.
• Must not exceed 1 year in duration.
• Cannot be mandated by law (e.g., standard WHMIS or First Aid).
• Must lead to a credential, certificate, or identifiable skill upgrade.
